Giving to the University Libraries

An Essential Resource for Collaboration in the Digital Age

To effectively support a major research university, the University Libraries must be able to meet the 21st century imperatives of teaching, learning, and research. This requires us to:

A great research university needs a great library system. Help us take the University Libraries to the next level.

  • provide broad and deep access to knowledge across a global network of research institutions and in an array of formats;
  • provide the professional expertise, resources, and digital tools to enable students, faculty, and researchers to find relevant and authoritative information at a 24/7 pace;
  • serve as hubs of collaboration by providing technology-rich learning and study spaces that promote academic success.

Securing public funding for construction of the Fenwick Library addition, which opened in January 2016, was a huge boost for the university. Now comes the challenge of providing long-term endowments and meeting ongoing costs for essential services through private philanthropy.
